Welcome to the Environmental Markets Trading Platform (EMTP)!
The Quebec Business Council on the Environment (CPEQ) is pleased to offer this free Platform for the use of all businesses subject to the Quebec Cap and Trade System for Greenhouse Gas Emissions, as well as for all participants in the carbon market under the Western Climate Initiative Inc. (WCI) who hold a registered account with the Compliance Instrument Tracking System Service (CITSS) and who wish to post offers concerning the sale and purchase of carbon credits.
The objective of this Platform is to facilitate carbon credit exchanges, regulated by the WCI, by putting potential buyers and sellers in contact with each other. In order to do this, a potential buyer or seller must post an Invitation to Negotiate on the Platform, by completing the correct form online or by responding to an Invitation to Negotiate which has already been published on the Platform.
